ROY KEANE and Jamie Carragher were left in hysterics after a Manchester United fan was spotted wearing a Gary Neville scarf.
The two pundits couldn’t contain themselves after Sky Sports cameras picked up the supporter paying tribute to the Red Devils legend.
The supporter could be seen wearing the scarf with Neville’s face on prior to the club’s 3-0 win against Brentford at Old Trafford.
Speaking on Monday Night Football, host David Jones was left in shock after seeing the item, as he remarked: “Hold on a second, what is that?”
Carragher was then heard in the background cracking up, with Neville’s former United team-mate Keane quipping: “There must have been a sale on.”
Liverpool icon Carragher then joked: “They’ve got the same nose.”
With all three men reduced to laughter, Jones then said: “Well, there you go. I’m sure they’ll catch on. The Gary Neville scarf.”
Carragher then stated that the fan may have even been paying respect to Prison Break character T-Bag.
He stated: “Could be Neville or T-Bag.”
Social media was sent into meltdown over their commentary, as one user said: “‘Gary Neville or T-bag’ best comparison I’ve heard.”
This fan then posted: “I really wanna know the backstory to the Gary Neville scarf. Is he a super fan of Gary????”
A third added: “Thought I’d seen it all football wise but a Gary Neville scarf is something else.”
Meanwhile one commented: “That Gary Neville scarf is wild.”
Another messaged: “That guy wearing the Gary Neville scarf has had no joy in his life.”
