Tottenham ‘knock’ for signing – Club chief goes public, boost for Spurs, offer will be gladly received

On March 23rd, we carried a report from Gazzetta dello Sport, who stated that Tottenham Hotspur have ‘moved’ for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. Later that day, Calciomercato explained there is a ‘strong interest’ from the north London club in the Rubin Kazan player.

Operating on the left wing, the Georgia international has two goals and five assists from 19 league games this season. The 21-year-old’s performances, profile and age has seen him end up in the sights of Napoli.

That’s according to another report from Calciomercato, who name Kvaratskhelia as one of the ‘young talents’ the Naples club are keeping tabs on for the next window.

From Serie A, Luciano Spalletti’s side and AC Milan ‘like’ the attacker and from England, there is Spurs. Regarding the Premier League side , the report explains they ‘knock’ on Kvaratskhelia’s door for his signature.

It is not the first time Tottenham are associated with the attacker as his agent claimed last August that Tottenham are ‘serious’ about his client.

Meanwhile, Rubin Kazan director Oleg Yarovinsky revealed earlier this week his side would be open to allow Kvaratskhelia leave in the summer.

“If there was an opportunity to sell someone, we would do it. Or enter into negotiations. But all the players have agents who look at the situation quite cunningly and want to understand what will happen in the summer,” Yarovinsky told Sport-Express.

“Since FIFA have now taken such an unprecedented decision, there is no guarantee that there will not be new decisions of this kind.”

When pressed if Rubin Kazan have received any offers, he said: “We don’t have them, but we would consider them with great pleasure.”

That sounds like an open door for Tottenham Hotspur.
