‘Handling offer from Chelsea’ – Approach from Blues revealed for Leeds United player

Raphinha has been shining for Leeds United since he arrived from Rennes in the summer of 2020. After managing six goals and nine assists in his debut season, the winger has nine goals and three assists in the league this term.

The 25-year-old’s form for the Whites has seen him draw attention from several clubs and that includes Chelsea.

A month ago, Sportitalia journalist Gianluigi Longari reported the Blues were leading the chase for the Brazil international. This was before they were sanctioned, and as things stand, they cannot make new signings or offer renewals to their current players.

The west London club are in the process of finding a new owner and bids have been placed by potential candidates to buy the English capital club.

That, however, has not stopped Sport from discussing Chelsea’s interest in Jesse Marsch’s star.

He is on the front page of the newspaper as the attacker is the ‘objective’ for Barcelona.

Within the report it’s explained the South American has ‘aroused interest’ from Thomas Tuchel’s side, who tried signing him last summer.

It’s even claimed the player’s agent, Deco, is ‘handling offers from Chelsea’ and Liverpool.

Sport further adds the representative has informed Barca that his client will not sign a new deal at Leeds and would look to leave Elland Road after this season.

Chelsea have made an approach for Raphinha, but their first focus will be on to sort out the situation at the club.
