Dana White talks Jake Paul diss track, Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou

Dana White claims that he still hasn’t heard Jake Paul’s viral ‘diss track’ that was released earlier this year.

The UFC president had opted not to comment on Paul’s song, which trended at No.1 on YouTube and garnered over 3million views, and told Mirror Fighting after UFC 271 that he has yet to hear it.

White has had a long-standing rivalry with Paul, with the YouTuber turning his attention to fighter pay in his promotion as part of his push to improve well-being for combat sports athletes.

He had attempted to put an end to the feud by telling fellow social media stars the Nelk boys on their podcast that he wouldn’t be commenting on Paul any more.

But when asked after Saturday night’s pay-per-view event about Paul’s song, White responded; “I haven’t seen it yet, is it any good?”

Paul joked that the UFC president must be “scared” after remaining silent for the past two weeks.

Mirror Fighting spoke with Paul at his London press conference to promote Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano.

And he said that the executive must not be keen on replying after hearing the song.

“I don’t know,” Paul replied when asked about White’s silence. “I guess he’s scared.

“I didn’t even know there was a fight this weekend, I guess there hasn’t been any really good promotion about it.

“I have not heard anything to be honest, but I’m sure he can’t be that happy.”

White has said that he does have respect for Paul in the past, saying during a recent podcast appearance that he wouldn’t rule out letting him fight in the UFC.

Paul has offered to fight for just $50,000 in a wildly unfavourable match-up against two-time world title contender Jorge Masvidal if White agrees to increase fighter pay.

But White has said it’s unlikely that the conversation will ever need to had.

“It’s not that he doesn’t have my respect, I don’t even know the kid,” White told the FULL SEND podcast.

“To be honest with you, right here right now, this is the last time you’ll hear me talking about him. I’m done with it.

“Would I let him (in the UFC)? Well, he can do whatever he wants to do. I don’t know. I don’t think that would ever happen but listen, I never say never anymore.”

The music video for Paul’s song attracted a lot of attention, and featured cameos from a number of fighters with whom White has had grievances in the past.

One scene shows legendary featherweight champion Cris Cyborg being co-erced into signing an unfavourable contract by an actor playing White and a host of nameless business partners.

Then another sees Paul team up with renowned former fighter Antonio McKee, who also had issues during his brief run in the promotion.
