Huffine has been central to 11 Honoré since inception and was brought on by founder Patrick Herning as one of the brand’s muses. “I can remember the day Patrick called IMG to tell them about [the brand],” she recalls, “and I remember thinking, ‘Wow, this is the shopping experience I’ve been looking for that has just never existed.’”
From that day five years ago to the brand’s NYFW show last night, Huffine is—for lack of a better term—honored. “I overuse the word honored in regards to 11 Honoré because I’m so proud to be a part of this journey,” she said.
The 11 Honoré NYFW collection is available for presale now, and will be sold in-store at select Nordstrom locations later this year. As for Huffine’s favorite look of the night, she’s already taken possession of a muted pink tailor suit. “Let me tell you: I took the pink suit. It’s at the dry cleaners this morning! It’s part of my life now, it’s part of my DNA,” she said.
With NYFW only just beginning, it’s too soon to tell how curve representation will prevail this season. But as 11 Honoré’s runway presence on day one demonstrates, it’s clear: The momentum is alive and well, and the forces behind it—like Huffine—remain hopeful and prepared for what’s next. She adds, “There’s a place for them and for us in this industry, for life.”
